IoT firm Aeris that is getting ready to serve Indian market with plethora of internet of things and machine to machine (M2M) solutions, on Tuesday got appreciation for its solutions catering to the social sector.
It has bagged the ‘Best CSR Solutions of the Year’ award at Indian ISV Awards 2016. The selection and awards process was conducted by Techplus Media, a media outfit that covers the Indian IT and related industries.
While most of the IoT and M2M companies are developing solutions for enterprises, Aeris is among few such firms who have developed solutions for CSR activities having high social impact.
This year in May, Aeris launched its IoT solutions for social sector in India. The initiative was launched in Shashtri Bhawan, New Delhi in the presence of Awanish Awasthi, joint secretary, Department of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment; CK Khaitan, joint secretary, and CEO National Trust, Harry Plant, vice president of social sector, Aeris and Dr. Rishi Bhatnagar, president of Aeris India.
“Through this initiative, Aeris will provide relevant technology as we believe in using it as an enabler to enhance the reach, coverage, monitoring of progress and predictive planning for the programmes launched and supported by the Government of India and NGOs. We are actively working towards helping build an ecosystem of like-minded technology companies with complementary, industry-leading capabilities which can deliver the kinds of solutions that will help NGOs achieve greater impact,” Bhatnagar had said during the launch of its CSR initiative.
Aeris collaborates with several non-profit organizations around the world and makes available to them IoT connectivity service and tools to communicate and analyse data. Aeris is currently working with several social impact companies such as Nexleaf, SweetSense and other international NGOs. In India too, Aeris is closely working with NGOs who have a wider reach and have larger social impact.
