Microsoft on Wednesday showcased its Azure IoT among other technology solutions based on its Windows platform for the solution developers in India. The company showcased these solutions during its ‘Build’ program that targets solution developers who work on Windows platform.
The company showcased new Azure IoT Starter Kits that allow anyone with Windows or Linux experience to quickly build IoT prototypes that leverage all Azure’s IoT offerings. In addition, early adopters can now use the Azure IoT Gateway SDK, which enables legacy devices and sensors to connect to the Internet without having to replace existing infrastructure, as well as device management in Azure IoT Hub to maintain and manage IoT devices at cloud scale.
Microsoft Azure is the company’s intelligent cloud solution that helps developers build scalable, intelligent apps. The company highlighted the new Azure services that are designed to help developers address today’s operational realities and take advantage of tomorrow’s emerging trends, such as the Internet of Things apart from Machine Learning and microservices. Power BI Embedded was also covered. Microsoft is the only cloud vendor that supports the diverse needs of every organization and developer — from core infrastructure services to platform services and tools to software-as-a-service — for any language, across any platform.
Leveraging the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, many Indian ISVs have developed solutions for Indian customers.Recently, Luminous Power Technologies (Luminous), a leading home electrical player in India with a vast portfolio comprising power back-up solutions, has announced the launch of its next generation Connected Solar Inverter, powered by the iQu Internet of Things (IOT) platform from iBot Control Systems. iBot has developed the solution on Microsoft’s Azure Hyperscale cloud as the engine of intelligence, wherein a set of mobile and web apps would actively monitor power savings, battery health, and also run predictive maintenance enabling greater energy savings.
More Indian ISVs, such as Flamencotech and Altizon have also developed their technology solutions for their customers on the Microsoft Azure platform.
Besides Azure IoT, Microsoft also demonstrated its Congnitive services and Bot Framework for developers to create machine learning bots and how developers can build and connect intelligent bots to interact with the users naturally wherever they are, from text/sms to Skype, Slack, Office 365 mail and other popular services.
