Smartron, a technology company founded by Mahesh Lingareddy and backed by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, today launched its 1st line of smart products in India. The company unveiled two smart devices – a smartphone called t-Phone and a tablet called t-Book, and the products will be available online.
The t-book is priced at Rs 39,000 and will be available from April 8 but the company has not disclosed the price of its smartphone. The t-phone will be available from April 18.
According to the company the next generation of smart IoT devices, platforms and services from Smartron are built on the breakthrough concept of Internet of Trons (IoT) to deliver truly amazing “tron xperience” for the discerning customer at home or on the go or at office or in the car. Tron.x seamlessly integrates all the devices, software, cloud, crowd, hub, services and care platforms to deliver highly intelligent and personalized experience through hubtron. Hubtron comes with every Smartron device and customer can access all his or her profile, data like documents, content like pictures and music, services like professional and payment, care, community as well as can manage all other IoT devices.
Tron.x is Smartron’s technology platform upon which all the future products of the company will be based, and hubtron is the company’s user interface.

Tendulkar is a strategic investor in Smartron and the global brand ambassador of the company. However, neither Sachin nor Smartron discloses the share holding pattern of the company.
Smartron positions itself as a global IoT firm, has been working on a stealth mode for almost two years.
